Local CoffeeAdvocates
Our mission is to encourage Greater San Diego to "Drink Local, Drink Often", and to ultimately put San Diego on the map as a coffee city raising the visibility of craft coffee here to that of other respected craft beverages.
San Diego Coffee Network is dedicated to connecting coffee professionals and enthusiasts. We collaborate with local professionals to promote quality experiences that expose more San Diegans to specialty coffee. Led by Jessica Percifield Henry (Jess), coffee blogger, people connector, and eternal optimist, the SDCN is elevating San Diego's coffee culture through technological innovations such as our local coffee MAP, as well as, the promotion and creation of social, educational and competitive events.
As an enthusiast, we encourage you to use our iPhone and Android friendly MAP to search out local specialty coffee near you. And stay tuned to local coffee news and events by signing up for our mailing list.
The SDCN is a social enterprise with a focus on specialty coffee for its local for global impact. Specialty Coffee is a sustainably sourced commodity. For this reason, it is the pathway to more socio-economic change and environmental impact at origin where coffee is sourced. Our three P's are aligned: People, planet, then profit. At the SDCN, we believe small independent business is the life blood of local economies, and we proudly support our local economy by promoting and growing the market share of local coffee business by encouraging coffee enthusiasts to shop small at their local specialty coffee houses and cafes.
With over 34,000 visitors to our website monthly, local specialty coffee is gaining ground over conglomerate coffee. This year (2016), San Diego was ranked #6 in the nation largely based on Google Searches for coffee. This data shows a marked increase in consumer interest, and with it the importance of being found quickly and easily. This is why we believe it pays to connect through Membership. The SDCN provides a quick and easy platform through which to gain immediate market visibility and reach through event promotion and collaboration. We look forward to connecting with you and growing the market share of local specialty coffee together.
